The Dominican Center for Ethics and Spiritual Life (CDEVS) is offering its final conference of the academic year:

“Where is our unassailable dignity based?” on Saturday, May 13 at 1:30 p.m. (Quebec and Ontario time) by Emmanuel Durand, Dominican and professor of theology at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland).

On the program:

  • Faced with unjust and imposed shames, what answer can be found in oneself and in the other party?
  • What is the basis for the emergence of a new sense of dignity in us?
  • Before whom can I stand in truth and with just pride?
  • Question and answer session with Emmanuel Durand

This is the fourth and final conference in the cycle on restored dignity. You can review the first three on the CDEVS page:

-Michel Gourgues, “Sometimes in the feminine, sometimes in the masculine: two journeys of recovered dignity in the Gospel of Luke”

-Marie de Lovinfosse, “Recognizing myself as trustworthy: the testimony of Paul”.

-Luca Castiglioni, “Dignity restored, listening to the cry of women”.
