It is my pleasure to invite you onMay 16 (at 7:30 pm and online) and onMay 20 (9:00 am – 12:00 pm, in Montreal, 2715 Chemin de la côte sainte catherine or online) to the last spring activity of the Neoclassical College before the summer break.
This latest offering is entitled:
Rhetoric as an art… of listening
As you know, rhetoric is usually and rightly presented as an art developed in order to speak to convince and persuade in legal, social and political spaces. This time, I would like to present rhetoric as an art of listening… Listening will be seen as an essential part of building authority to speak in various public spaces. What is listening to the concert of voices that takes place in the public space? How is this listening a democratic virtue to engage in an argumentative discussion?
