Voices are being heard to recognize “life fatigue” or “fulfilled life” as new grounds for access to medical assistance in dying.

The Dominican Center for Ethics and Spiritual Life (CDEVS) offers “Death from fatigue… to live: a new criterion for medical aid in dying?” on Tuesday, March 7 at 7:30 p.m. (Quebec and Ontario time) by Didier Caenepeel, Dominican and professor of bioethics at the Dominican University College.

On the program:

Why do older
people come up with such reasons for dying?

Is it a matter of individual choice or a reflection of a deeper social malaise?

How to accompany a person who is “tired of living” to the point of wanting to die?
