The Dominican Pastoral Institute undertook a digital shift between 2016 and 2017. We would like to thank the Fondation JA de Seve, whom sponsored the project.
The digital shift is not a rupture with the traditionnal teaching of the Dominicans. Instead, the numerical tools add value to the teaching offered at the Dominican Pastoral Institute.
It has been important for the realization of this project to understand how technology can have an impact on the reach of our teaching.
According to Daniel Cadrin, assistant director of the Dominican Pastoral Institute “It has been important for the realisation of this project to identify how technology can have an impact on the way of teaching and learning at the Dominican Pastoral Institute.
The digitalshift has allowed the Dominican Pastoral Institute to :
- acquire cameras and projectors.
- Offer online classes.
- Update the website so students, members of the community can have access to all information related to their classes.
The use of technological tools, videos, visioconferences, as well as web content enhances the learning experience for our students and created developpement opportunities for the Dominican Pastoral Institute.
